ABOUT

The Far Out is a pop-funk band from the north shore of Massachusetts. The six multi-instrumentalists have been playing together since they were kids - learning and growing through jazz, theatre, a cappella, and orchestra. Now, they engage their audiences with high-energy grooves, powerful vocals, and funky horn lines, supported by undeniable chemistry of a group of lifelong friends.

Since their formation in summer ‘21, The Far Out has quickly become a notable part of the north shore and Boston music communities. The band is involved with local organizations such as Lungstrong, Ipswich Caring, Team Haverhill, the Pelican Intervention Fund, and Friends of Ipswich Elementary Schools (FRIES). They’ve performed at the Castle Hill Summer Concert Series and River Ruckus Festival.

In the fall of 2023, the group released their debut EP — self-titled, The Far Out — along with a music video for “Long Time Coming.” The 4-song EP was later named Indie Boulevard’s Best EP of 2023. Songs from The Far Out EP have been featured on 92.5 the River, 95.9 WATD, as well as various WaveRadio Boston shows.
